Well, it's finally time to get the rest of those open chords under our belts. This will be pretty much the same as before, but more of them. Also, the dots no long have the finger numbers on them (but don't worry, I'll help with the tough ones, and you are always free to ask questions in the questions forum.) Some notes on the chords above:

  • You know what? don't even worry about B or Bm. We'll take care of them when we talk about Barre Chords.
  • On F, you see how 2 dots are on the 1st fret? You're going to hold both of them down with your first finger, and then use your and and 3rd finger for the other two frets.
  • On Fm, it's the same idea, but with three strings. Then reach over with your 3rd finger for the remaining string.

    Practice these over and over, a hundred times each if you can stand it. Once you get them down, you'll probably remember them for life. When you're comfortable, try playing the following chord structures a few times in a row:

     E - B7 - A - B7

     Hear It.

     Am - F - Dm - G

    Hear It.

     G7 - C7 - D7 - G7

    Hear It.
